Its a convenient spellchecker that puts right my spelling of dyslexia..
Their are such things as spell checkers and dictionary's for dyslexics
that pick up most of the spelling mistakes that we make.
I cant see the mistakes I make that is part of the problem with
dyslexia, that my brain doesn't see the written word in the same way
   that yours would.
However even before the spellchecker and the dictionary came out, I had
kept my own references of the correct spellings for many words.
Dyslexics tend to be orally brilliant if they are confident people,
though they do have a tendency to stutter or come out with the most
amazing spoonerisms when tired... They make good speakers, and they have
the ability usually to jump from one idea to another and make
connections that are missed by other people.
President Kennedy was dyslexic. and a suprising number of millionaires,
inventors and ideas people have that problem. Being able to spell is not
going to hold you back if you have talent. Its cheap enough to hire
someone who can spell... Its not cheap to hire ideas people.
I had one boss who would willingly go over everything I wrote and spell
check and grammar check it.. She couldn't afford to lose me, and if she
was not around her secretary got the job.
Eventually I got the secretary and spelling and grammar wasn't a
   problem.

   >Generally people don't get abused for poor spelling unless they are

   >skills. If you want to play school marm, you need to stay at least one
   >primer ahead of the rest of us.

(Chuckle) I don't need to stay a primer ahead of the rest of you, you
make things easy by misspelling in a way that even I can pick up.
The poor writing skills I have seen are a lack of vocabulary, a lack of
imagination, and a lack of use of the English language which is rich
   indeed .
For those who profess to be poets I would expect an exceptional
vocabulary and use of words.and an imagination that takes flight. What
do I find.. Plodding people who worry about spelling and grammar and
don't notice what the words actually say.

Your right in one thing I have taught people, I taught them how to
communicate with each other, something I am extremely good at, and how
to be confident and sure of themselves in any situation. Something I am
   also extremely good at :)
The written word is not the only form of communication, speech, body
language even intonation all make words special, To rely on words on a
page alone is missing most of the picture.
If you find me acerbic then remember that I do not like people who
invade other newsgroups and then abuse the denizens of that news group.

If you want me to go away.. Its easy, take out alt wicca and alt pagan
from your headers and stop posting to those groups, I will disappear
like magick I can assure you.

   In Xanadu did Kubla Kan
   A stately pleasure dome decree
Where Alf the sacred river ran
   Through caverns measureless to man
   Down to a silver sea.

If its wrong I apologise I have not re-read it in years, but its my
   favourite poem.
