If only YOU were worthy of such attentive adulation.       Eh, Karla?              But the truth is much less Freudian.              Early on, Renay aligned herself with The Cabal, and -- like       a dutiful Cabal-slurping lemming -- she jumped on the 'Bash-       Will-Dockery-and-his-poetry' bandwagon.              And she rode that wagon plenty hard over an extended period       of time.              So when Renay's posted 'poetry' ultimately revealed that she       had literally no aesthetic basis for criticizing anyone else's       efforts, Will merely began pointing out the obvious.              Call it 'the emperor has no clothes,' call it 'neener-neener,'       call it 'pay-back,' call it 'self-defense,' call it 'karma.'              But whatever you choose to call it, it's perfectly within the       long-established bounds of these troll 'poetry' newsgroups.              In light of what had previously transpired, you can hardly blame       Dockery for playing a trump card when it became available to him.              It's all in the archives. You could look it up.              In any case, Renay doesn't need you to come running to her defense.       Trust me, the acid-tongued Mizz Renay is perfectly capable of       looking out for herself. She's had plenty of practice in this       arena.              As Renay, herself, once wrote:               "what do two million battered women have in common?        they never learned when to shut up."              Best take a clue, Karla, from your Usenet friend Renay. She's       clearly much more experienced in these matters than you are.       Rilly.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
