Not really. Consider string theory. It has no proof at all. It can be
played with mathmatically, but remember, many things which don't exist can
be "proven" mathmatically. Math is a closed system. As long as you play by
its rules, you can "prove" many things....things which you will never see.
We have such an ingrained respect for math, that this may sound like heresy
to you. Math is like a clock. We invented it. We use it. It works for
us. It has its limits. My math tutor once showed me the mathematically
provable egg shaped universe. Then he erased it and showed me the
mathmatically provable saddle shaped universe....and then we both had a good
   laugh.

Thought that is results oriented. Only by results can you judge "good"
   thought.
