From: davidsands@yahoo.com              It's a very cold and windy day in Taiwan. Next       week will probably be in the 80's, but a northerly       from Mongolia can turn the island into a fridge.       Last week snow fell in Taipei. Jeez. Yu Shan is a       12,000 foot mountain, about as far away as I would       drive to go skiing in Michigan. Maybe this winter       I can sample Japan's slopes. The problem is my       wife is would rather do Bali than barreling down a       mountain. We accommodate. The human condition.              My son is doing an operatic baritone (for a four       year old). Something learned in school, but he has       a good ear. The big question now is to teach him       violin or keyboard. Watching seven-year-olds on TV       playing Vivaldi induces me to choose the violin. I       could accompany him on the piano.              I sometimes drink powdered green tea, which is       very bitter. I have an idea for cherry concentrate       cakes (little cakes). Cherries are a delicacy       here, and I think the green and red would be a       sprirtually healthy combo. I don't want to blow my       inheritence on a restaurant venture, but it's in       my genes. I would have nothing if my dad didn't       put everything on the roulette wheel (so to speak).              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
