    From what I understand of string theory (admittedly not a great amount)   
   I think it's another bollix on the way to a clearer comprehension.   
      
   It reminds me somewhat of the "epicycles" invented to explain   
   then-incomprehensible motions of the planets (inconmprehensible because   
   they hadn't yet realized that the universe did not revolve around the   
   Earth). It's got the math right (as did those very complex epicycles)   
   but the model is far too complex to be the "real final thing" I think.   
   The case is usually that the real breakthroughs have an almost   
   compelling obviousness about them. String Theory appears to be   
   attempting to fit the motions to the math, but I think it's a temporary   
   jig up. Useful - as all such theories are.   
      
   But I do know that the answer won't be "God."
