No, I am being completely serious. She was doing her usual trying to impress
people with her bullshit thing. She was droning on about how she was from a
long line of Witches. She said something about her grandmother being born in
   the 19th century

"Your thinking of things like the hell fire club. rich brats playing at
devil worship. the normal pagan was working class or a labouror on a
farm somewhere, the women were often in service. untill the late 18th
century most pagans were country people, in the 19th women like my
Grandmother were the first to learn to read or write, everything before that
   was passed on orally."

This wasn't just a slip of the finger, she said it all the time.

" My grandmother saw an eclipse in the early part of the 19th century , she
used broken glass, with lamp black so my mother and her other children
   could"

Seems like longevity is a genetic trait. Great granny was born in the 17th
   century:

"Sometimes yes. if the weather was very unusual, Grandmother remembered the
fair on the river Thames in London when the ice was so thick that they could
put charcoal braziers on it, she didnt see it but her friend alice did who
   was in service in London.
Her mother remembered the great floods in the Seventeenth century, when
whole villages in East anglia slid into the sea. you would be suprised what
   people remember."

Right, we would be surprised how full of horseshit she truly is. I wonder if
Auntie Phoebe remembers the Ice Age?
When she posts this, Ludvig Prinn, DLMKB, myself home right in on it. It was
hilarious seeing the old git trying to defend herself. She dug herself
deeper and deeper into her little hole. She said that Gardner was 100 years
younger than her grandmother (which menas granny was born in 1784), Out of
all of her ridiculous assertions, the best was the "time is different in
England" lecture. The whole thing started with the "Odd experiences near
churches" thread (Google it, it turns into "Pope Shez caught in another lie"
   and is hilarious).

"I do mean 1800s a lot of people still call the 1800s the eighteenth
century, it isnt unusual, I am well aware that historically the 1800s runs
from 1750 to 1850 the ninteenth century from 1850 to 1950 but in general
conversation in this country the 18th century is still the years between
1800 and 1899 I rather think that ludvigs nitpicking is simply to prove what
he wants to prove, and I am not willing to give him personal information
   just because he demands it."

To give Tales his due, he is a talented and able witch. However he is a
negative energy and will show you the "highlights" of a negatively applied
   system.
