In Chapter 17 of _Galactic Patrol_, yes. Its title is "Nothing Serious at
All", and it takes place one chapter after "Kinnison Meets the Wheelmen".
When he met the Wheelmen, he got shot up by a machine gun, fell tens of
meters onto a pile of rubble. He made it to his speedster, and set its
   course generally Tellus-ward.

Lacy and MacDougall went to the speeder, which was free, removed him
from it, and inerted him separately so as not to worsen the damage.
After getting him down to Tellus, they put him in a trauma-care ward.
Days or weeks later, when he regained consciousness was when he and
   MacDougall first met.

They certainly made impressions on each other. He called her a
"dumb-bell" and she called him a "brat".

But, this is what I was talking about. When they first met.
