   	A thick of 388 pages in paperback from Ace Books copyright 2012   
   	and sold at $7.99.  I found this copy at the SFPL-Main.   
      
   	I have greatly enjoyed the Edge series but this wraps up   
        the lives of several of the baddies and of course demonstrates   
        the power of Love to overcome the most horrible of magics.   
      
   	Richard Mar is from the Edge where magic is less but still   
        works unlike the Broken which is where we live, poor magicless   
        mortals.  Richard's family has been brutalized by slavers and in   
        this volume he finds his life's love and destroys with her aid   
        the Slaver stronghold and the vicious group of noble(?) persons   
        profiting from the Slave Trade.   
      
   	She is Charlotte de Ney ai Ran adopted by a member of   
        the Ran family which is one of the oldest in Adrianalanka   
        the country full of magic and run by the most powerful magic   
        Users.  She runs to the Edge when her husband finds she is   
        barren and he must have an heir. She is the Healer of her   
        generation at least and the Husband is an imbecile(Richard's   
        opinion.   
      
   	There is a very great deal of death and violence in this   
        book which I think may not be good for everyone.
