Jesus Christ is identified as the incarnate Logos in the Gospel of John.
Pope Leo's mathematical degree compliments Catholicism's centrality in
   Logos.

   Addendum:

This morning's news alludes to another positive outcome from a
mathematically minded Pope. As stated by me earlier in another thread:

Usury is always immoral because it's fruit is always the same:
riots followed by aristocrats using their military to impose order.
Usury requires a modicum of mathematical intelligence but demands
       complete subservience to Mammon.

Although the glutenous nature of compound interest is intuitively
obvious to me personally, many people seem to struggle with even
simpler math. Pope Leo's perhaps the first pontiff to comprehend the
   math behind compound interest.

Pope Leo XIV condemns usury, a grave sin that speaks to the
       corruption of the human heart

Pope Leo XIV on Saturday condemned usury, a practice that is
sometimes an extremely grave sin that speaks to the corruption
of the heart of those who see others only as “objects of
       exploitation.”

Usury can be defined as charging too much interest on a loan, a
practice that has existed since ancient times. Traditionally,
the Catholic Church taught that the sin of usury was the act of
demanding any benefit or profit for the sole purpose of lending.

Michael Hudson's religious affiliation is unknown to me. Hudson does an
excellent job of deconstructing the false categories of mind polluting
Western economic thought. "Savings" is one such falsehood.
Hudson speaks of people who earn money in their sleep - people who
earn money without any effort nor fiscal discipline on their part. For
instance, nobody delayed instant gratification to "save up" the
millions made on meme coins after Trump's election.
