   I do not doubt this, for I have no basis for doing so.   
      
   I merely point out that, back in the day, partisans of DTS made   
   similar claims against the plebeian Dolby.   
      
   OTOH, as I have noted, /Dune/ definitely improved from VHS to DVD.   
      
   OT3H, when I bought /Ben-Hur/ on DVD I found myself watching the exact   
   same image as I had on VHS. This is because both used the same digital   
   transfer. So some comparison claims can be a bit ... deceptive.   
      
   And don't get me started on comparing P&S and LB versions of obscure   
   films on DVD. Or DVD and BD. Both in terms of just what parts of the   
   actual image was being displayed.
