In his first book on investing, "One up on Wall Street", Peter Lynch
discussed SmithKline, whose stock had been on a tear because of the drug
   Tagamet.

He commented that Tagamet is the ideal investor's drug, as patients have
to take it forever, as opposed to antibiotics, which cure the underlying
disease and are ideal patient's drugs.

Don't invest, in other words, in companies that try to cure disease.
Invest in those that treat is.
