   Gerrold sent out an email about 25 years ago that claimed that book 5   
   was written except for the middle.  And that he was splitting book 6   
   into two books.  The email contained the first five or seven chapters of   
   book 5.  He stated that he was having trouble writing a man who is   
   insane in the Amazon delta (IIRC).   
      
   Gerrold later sent an email out that he had books 5, 6, and 7 all   
   written except for the middle of book 5.   
      
   Later he got into money problems and was selling memorabilia right,   
   left, and sideways.  I bought some of his screenplays that he wrote for   
   TNG and DS9 ??? which I have lost over the years.   
      
   So I have no idea if books 5, 6, or 7 were finished or just jumbled messes.
