   Let me be the first to give the inevitable 'you skipped this' comment.   
      
   Julian May's 'The Golden Torc', which features the Zanclean Flood,   
   merits a mention.   
      
   Turtledove's 'Down in the Bottomlands' has the same setting, but   
   no flood.
