   Stoves and clothes driers are the most common uses in domestic settings.   
   My EV charger is also on a 220 line.   
      
   The US '220v' outlets are apparently of some half-assed variety   
   compared the the European ones, due to some mummmery with 3 phase   
   power I don't fully understand.
