This probably has something to do with the quality of the       acting.              Of course, it's not actually an action thriller; considered as such,       "damp squib" might be appropriate. In some ways, the film is an       excellent adaptation because it moves the story (and the audience)       along.              But then, the same could be said of /Advise and Consent/. Particularly       the film, which drops the final part and so the point of the novel.       --        "Here lies the Tuscan poet Aretino,       Who evil spoke of everyone but God,       Giving as his excuse, 'I never knew him.'"              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
