"Cold Iron Task" Unorthodox Chronicles by James J. Butcher

Another tale from the annals of the Department of Unorthodox Affairs
which is concerned with all the manifestations of supernatural affairs
in the human world starring as usual Grimshaw Grimsby Junior Auditor,
his partner, the Huntsman Leslie Mayflower and Damien Grieves,
the Senior Auditor of the Department and assorted humans, witches
         and demonic beings.
This has its rip-roaring action sequences and suspenseful moments.
Grimsby is trying to rescue Rayne from her possession by a disembodied
which Janet and something deeper in Rayne that is trying to take over.
Mayflower who is very territorial is trying to find Brass Sharp's
   brother
to get the oursider Huntsman out of Boston. Others have convinced a
relative of Rayne's called Keen to sponsor an expedition to the
Elsewhere. In the Elsewhere which is where magical power comes
from Grimsby will experience a very great deal of power.
So if you can read the book and see.
It is © to James J. Butcher in 2025 and published in hardcover
by Ace at $25.00 US in 376 pages in hardover but also in soft
        and audio book.

I got my copy from the SF Public Library.

bliss - took me a while but I finished it today.
