From: noone@nowhere.com              In The Lion's Mouth. Michael Flynn.              This is the third in the Spiral Arm series and it wasn't as enthralling       for me as the first two were. The first two books dealt with GREAT       EVENTS as well as being brilliantly written, if sometimes in riddles,       but the plot in book three was a retelling of Homer's Iliad paling in       comparison to its predecessors with the same characters and settings,       thankfully, but with mystery and intrigue partly replaced by action and       the brief appearance of the supernatural.       But still an enjoyable read. Three stars. Though perhaps my expectations       from Flynn are now too high? I will read something non SF before I       finish this series with book four, On The Razor's Edge.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
