   This was all in the context of the EU's proposed "Chat Control" system, which   
   is indeed censorship on steroids. Among other draconian measures, it requires   
   mandatory client-side scanning of private communications, including the   
   breaking of end-to-end encryption.   
      
   That means every text, email, or message you send will be scanned by your   
   phone or tablet or computer *before* you even send it, reported back to a   
   government AI system which will analyze it for wrongthink, whether it be child   
   porn, racism, "misinformation" or political opinions deemed contrary to the   
   Agenda, and if the AI deems you subversive, police will be dispatched to your   
   home.
