   eeing the mention of Uber reminded me of a post I recently   
   made elsewhere:   
      
   Subject: grumble TIL another issue with Lyft re: tipping...   
      
   The handful of times I've used Lyft I figured I'd give   
   the driver a tip in cash rather than through the application   
   so he'd (all the operators I've had were male) get the   
   full amount with, umm, let's simply say the full amount.   
      
   The last one pointed out this was downgrading *my*   
   (the user) rating since... part of that profile was   
   based on reported tip amounts.
