I don't understand that reaction. I loved Doc Martin. Everyone loved Doc
Martin. The town where the show was filmed, Port Isaac in Cornwall, was
full of visitors when the show wasn't filming.

Martin Clunes is an excellent actor, and I like Caroline Catz also.

The show ran for 10 seasons and has an 8.4 IMDb rating:

   https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0408381/

That said, Josh Charles is not Martin Clunes, and I have no idea if this
show will be any good. Are American remakes of foreign shows ever any
good? The US remake of the wonderful Gran Hotel was a complete failure,
unlike the Egyptian and Mexican remakes.
