   I would imagine American involvement in WWII violated all kinds of   
   international law too but sometimes the law has to be ignored to do   
   right. I don't remember hearing about the Americans clearing customs on   
   the Normandy beaches so they apparently invaded (occupied) France. That   
   alone must be a major breach of law.
