   If you're looking to me to defend Freeland you've come to the wrong   
   place. I don't like the woman or indeed any of the lot that surrounded   
   Trudeau during the horrific decade we've had since Trudeau was elected.   
   Honestly, I question why Zelensky has hired her. She, like most Canadian   
   Liberals, has little if any sympathy for the idea of fiscal   
   responsibility. Virtually the entire lot of them prioritize "free   
   stuff", growing the bureaucracy, and ballooning already high deficits.   
   And virtue-signalling. I am at a loss to imagine what she is going to   
   bring to Ukraine that they actually need or want. I have enormous   
   respect for Zelensky but what he's thinking here escapes me, especially   
   given Trump's detestation of her. Zelensky needs to stay on Trump's good   
   side so hiring someone he loathes makes no sense to me.   
      
   Of course you're absolutely free to continue your infatuation with her   
   and more power to you in that regard.
