   I haven't watched any of this but it sounds like they're doing what Hollywood   
   always does: the white guy is portrayed as well-meaning but ignorant, if not   
   outright stupid, and is always bumbling around racial stereotypes and   
   'microagressions' while the long-suffering noble black family just sighs and   
   rolls their eyes at his foolishness.
