   Putin's "Special Military Operation" first launched Feb 22, 2022, was   
   intended to conquer Ukraine in just a few days. It recently reached a   
   rather telling milestone: it has now gone on longer than the "Great   
   Patriotic War", which is what the Soviets/Russians call WWII. They   
   measure it from June 22, 1941 when Hitler's forces and allies invaded   
   the Soviet Union, until May 9, 1945, when Hitler was defeated and the   
   allies declared victory in Europe.   
      
   That's right: the war that did massive damage to Stalin's Soviet Union   
   and pushed his armed forces very far back on their heels before they   
   regrouped was in Berlin in less time that it's take Putin to occupy just   
   20% of Ukraine!
