Over the weekend I watched both seasons of the anime SOLO LEVELING.
This anime is based around a world where portals started appearing
around the globe a decade ago. These portals lead to dungeons that
contain dangerous creatures. If they aren't closed by defeating the
boss within a week then the creatures can enter this world so there
are people who enter the dungeons to try and defeat the creatures
inside to close each portal. At the same time the portals opened there
were people across the globe who were found to have special powers
much like in DnD with some being tanky, others having command over
   magic or fire and ice.

The story centers on a guy who is among the lowest ranked as a level
   E. Others may be higher ranked and so much more powerful such as B or
A or the most powerful, the S ranked. The guy at the center of the
story is always getting hurt as the lowest ranked/least powerful
member of the teams working to clear each portal/dungeon. He keeps
going because he needs the money to help pay for his mother's medical
   treatments.

Something happens in one portal where many members die and he is left
to die only to find himself waking up in the hospital. Strangely
enough he sees this apparent computer screen opening up that only he
can see that says he has been chosen as the player. The screens keep
giving him quests that allow him to grow in power and abilities even
though he stays as a low level E rank. Something that no other player
   is able to.

I also got in the first episode of BERLIN STATION, which appears to
open with the death of the main character but then goes back in time
to show how we got there. The premise is that someone is leaking CIA
secrets to a reporter in Berlin. A CIA analyst figures out something
about the leaker which ends up having him sent to Berlin to track down
   the source of the leak.

   What did you watch?
