   For statement A, let's note that, at that time, Trump was a   
   Democrat.   
      
   For statement B, why would Trump worry about the "demonizing" of   
   the innocent and thus prevent the crimes, reputedly of the Democrats,   
   from being exposed. Reputational damage versus legal damage?   
      
   We conclude that Trump is worried about his reputation damage   
   or features heavily in the legal damage.
