   Oh, Willow. Good one. She became the most overpowered witch in the   
   universe, almost destroyed the world, was instantly forgiven, and then   
   saved the world by fundamentally altering a system which had been   
   unaltered for tens of thousands of years. That's an arc, I guess.   
      
   I originally figured that the point of adding Tara was for her to be a   
   spellcaster. When Willow turned superpowered instead, I wondered of   
   Alyson Hannigan had insisted that her character be the more powerful   
   witch. That's only my speculation, but it would explain something pretty   
   senseless.
