'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Franchise Expands at Paramount
With 'Teeny Mutant Ninja Turtles' Digital Series,
'Last Ronin' Novel and Major Mattel Pact Ahead of New Movies
       -------------------------------------------------------------
Under new Skydance management, Paramount is turtle-powering up
capitalization on of one of its most beloved cross-generational
       IPs: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

On Thursday, Paramount announced sweeping plans to expand its
"TMNT" franchise through several ventures, including a major
toy licensing partnership with Mattel, an illustrated book for
middle schoolers, a novel for adults, a preschool-targeted
digital series and themed pizzerias opening in Santa Monica,
Monterrey, Mexico and Sao Paulo, Brazil later this year.

The slew of announcements signal the Skydance-owned company's
strategy is to build off the success of the 40-year-old IP,
most recently revitalized through the new "Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles" feature films, in an unprecedented, Disney-esque
fashion with products, experiences and new content focused
       across multiple age groups.

Set to launch on YouTube later this year, "Teeny Mutant Ninja
Turtles" is conceived as a 30-episode CG-animated series
consisting of four-minute installments that follow the childhood
years of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo.

In June, a full novelization of the bestselling "TMNT" graphic
novel "The Last Ronin" will be released from publisher Abrams
and writer Erik Burnham. Specifically targeted at adult "TMNT"
fans, "The Last Ronin" is centered on a lone surviving Turtle
who returns to New York City with one mission: to avenge his
family by killing the leader of the Foot Clan, Oroku Hiroto.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splinter's Dojo" is a middle-grade
illustrated novel releasing from Scholastic in September that.
Per the description for the new book, "'Splinter's Dojo' takes
the turtles to class at the most radical middle school around."

Paramount's new partnership with Mattel for "TMNT" toys will
begin in 2027 with the release of action figures, playsets and
accessories, vehicles, games, collectibles, roleplay items and
more products. Additionally, Mattel will be the producer of
Paramount's toys tied to the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:
Mutant Mayhem 2" release in 2027, and the untitled "Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles" live-action/CG animation hybrid film
       debuting in 2028.

These partnerships mark the latest licensing deals Paramount has
struck for the heroes in a half shell characters originated by
comic book creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Recently, the
franchise has seen tie-ins with Wizards of the Coast's Magic:
The Gathering card game and development on VR game "Empire City."

On top of Paramount's own plans for the franchise, Fathom
Entertainment, Saga Arts and Warner Bros. Pictures will re-release
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze" in
theaters nationwide for a one-week, 35th anniversary engagement
       running March 13-19.

"'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' is full of action, humor and
heart, and showcases relationships that have resonated with
generations of fans worldwide," Paramount president of global
products and experiences Josh Silverman said. "Continuing the
Turtles' adventures through products and experiences enables
consumers to embark on their own journey. Whether it's watching a
movie, wearing a costume, playing with action figures or reading a
book, 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' has made an impact not only
on people's lives but on pop culture in ways that few franchises
can claim. Our new offerings continue the growth of this incredible
property and demonstrate new ways for global audiences of all ages
to relate to these stories and characters."
