Iconic '70s NBC TV Show Reboot Finds Its Lead
       ---------------------------------------------
NBC has officially found a star for a remake of one of the most
iconic television shows of the 1970s.

What NBC TV show has found its lead?
According to a new report from Deadline, David Boreanaz has closed
a deal to star in the upcoming reboot of The Rockford Files. The
Bones star will take on the role as James Rockford, a broke
private investigator who takes on a variety of cases. Deadline
reports that the role of Rockford was a sought after one, and now
with it cast, filming can begin.

The report goes on to mention that the pilot for the show will
film in Atlanta. No other official casting has been announced for
the series, although that should begin happening soon now that the
lead for the show has been finalized. Boreanaz has starred in a
number of high-profile television shows, including Bones, Buffy
the Vampire Slayer, SEAL Team, Angel, and more.

Originally released in 1974, The Rockford Files followed the story
of Los Angeles private investigator Jim Rockford, who served time
in San Quentin Prison due to a wrongful conviction before being
pardoned and beginning his work as a private investigator. The
original show starred James Garner, Noah Beery Jr., Joe Santos,
Gretchen Corebett, and Stuart Margolin. It ran for six seasons,
and aired over 120 episodes, including eight TV movies.
