Actually, I'd be shocked if many Western       countries don't have similar rates of historical illiteracy. It would be       fun to make graduates throughout the West watch that video and then ask       them to indicate true or false just to get some stats on how many people       have been brainwashed. Of course it's not just history from centuries       past: I'm sure many MANY young people will recite the "fact" that       millions of people have been "genocided" in Gaza and that Israel       practices "apartheid" and those are things happening NOW which are       easily disproved.              And then there's the grammatical illiteracy. When did "genocide" become       a verb?              Mind you, that may be an artifact of the rules of platforms like YouTube       where you can't say "killed" so you have to say "unalived" to get the       point across. I am NOT amused by that weird form of censorship, nor am I       amused when someone does a comment video about something and virtually       every word is bleeped out and sometimes the video is hopelessly blurred       so that you can't even make out what they are upset about.              How has society morphed into this thing where absolutely everything       Western seems to be treated as the most hateful, oppressive thing ever       and calls for murder of our own people are routine yet free speech is       increasingly suppressed to the point that our delicate snowflakes can't       abide a video that shows someone saying "shit" or "fuck" or a person who       has been killed in some act of war or terrorism. There seems to be a       massive streak of Puritanism running through these revolutionaries....              --       Rhino              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
