   Yep. In New Zealand you legally have to be registered to vote (you have to   
   be on the Electoral Roll), but you do not have to actually vote. I've   
   never bothered to vote in either the local Mayoral / Council eleections   
   nor the national Government elections since NONE of the greedy, selfish,   
   lying, brainless morons are any better than the others.
