   I carry separate debit and credit cards and use them for separate   
   purposes. I have a combo card which I avoid using as if I make a   
   mistake it's on my savings account where they give me 3 free   
   transactions a month then $2.00 per transaction thereafter. This is an   
   account you move money into but not for casual use.   
      
   As you correctly say - it's my choice - but not all cards are the   
   same. Generally I prefer debit as I like to not have to worry about   
   making monthly payments and keeping things straight. Lots of people   
   feel differently.
