   Are you seriously maintaining that had you been on a US airplane and a   
   flight attendant or pilot had said that, you would have interpreted it   
   to mean that they planned to take off and immediately land or crash?   
   And that you would have been alarmed even though the person who   
   delivered the message and the other passengers did not seem distressed
