   : The scenario here is about fees to merchants, retard.  A merchant is   
   : the store you buy shit from.  They *do* pay fees, 100% of the time.   
   : There are *no* merchant accounts without fees.  Merchant fees are,   
   : last I heard, more profitable than interest from card holders.  The   
   : merchant - the store you buy shit from - pays higher fees, and they   
   : raise their prices to you, the customer, to cover it.  That's how it   
   : works.   
      
   And to top it off, iirc, there was a movement for the merchant to pass   
   the credit card fees on to only those who actually used credit cards.   
   But the card companies weilded their congressional minnions, and made   
   that illegal toot sweet.
