   Yes, but he had only 1 generation to think about them.  By now, we've   
   had at least 3 if not 4 generations of somebodies famous who have shown   
   that black holes are a very likely thing for the universe to allow.   
      
   (and remember, he didn't believe in entanglement, either, so there are   
   clearly some ideas that he wasn't prepared for and which we have lots   
   of supporting evidence for.)
