From: qwrtz123@gmail.com              After Earth       2013 PG-13 100 minutes              A thousand years in the future, Gen. Cypher Raige and his young son, Kitai,       crash-land their crippled ship on the long-abandoned, desolate Earth. With his       father near death, Kitai sets out to find a beacon that will save them from       certain doom.              Cast:Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Isabelle Fuhrman, Kristofer Hivju, Gabriel       Caste, Zoë Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo, David Denman, Sacha Dhawan, Lincoln Lewis       Director:M. Night Shyamalan                     Fail. This movie has a lot of good idea, and the fx and cinematography are       well done. Even the father/son survival bonding plot isn't that bad. But the       acting, oh help. Both Smiths have zero emotional depth, specially Jaden who       goes thru the whole        film in a state of petulant anger. Finally the details break down; the alien       monster wouldn't last five seconds against a marine with a machinegun (but in       the high tech future there are no guns), there's a bird that um yah, and Kitai       has to climb a        volcano to get above the ionosphere.               Worth watch if you can get past the dialog.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
