   I was just rewatching Apollo 13 for the umpteenth time and I realized   
   that there's a good chance that none of the astronauts who walked on the   
   Moon will see humanity return.   
      
   Of the 12, four are dead, and the youngest of the survivors is 78.  I   
   suspect that most of the people who sent them there are past retirement   
   or dead too.   
      
   I think this is rather sad.
