   They decided to make a movie "based on" the old UK kids' show   
   'Thunderbirds', and it was a complete mess for a variety of reasons,   
   with one of the main ones being that they hired Jonathan Frakes (Riker   
   in Star Trek: The Next Generation) to direct it. He had never even   
   heard of the show, knew absolutely nothing about it, but watched a   
   couple of episodes and then believed he knew it all ... and the result   
   proves that he doesn't. :-\
