   I don't know how faithful it was to the comic it adapted, but its structure   
   reflected a monthly serialization, with a villain, side characters, conflict   
   and resolution then move on to the next.  Which may be why some critics were   
   confused that Rihanna's    
   character appeared and then disappeared from the plot.
