Aldebaran (α Tauri) is now lost in the Sun's glare. When it's visible,
it plausibly passes for the oculus Tarus. (If my Latin's correct.)
My original post contains an error. "Probable" needs to be
   "improbable."

The movie visuals are but a muddied reflection of
the sight seen by my mind's eye. The movie reminds me of
_Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy_ (le Carré). In both cases,
it seems highly improbable that the movie storyline can
be followed by anyone who does not first read the story.
