Are you saying a prototype mentat got loose before being conditioned,
imprinted and stamped for assignment to Herbert? That's unthinkable.

Remember Playboy magazines on hot summer afternoons with nothing
better to do with, like, a 300-page issue? Yep, you guessed it, I saw
it first stuck in on one of those issues for an excerpt. And when I
say stuck in, that doesn't mean full of gooey, smelly, stuck-together
chthonian things: 50 glossed pp., at least, from a newly published
Frank Herbert's Dune, all laid-up and edited, perfectly placed
according to Mr. Hugh Heffner's fine standards for literature.

No driveling that day once I'd started in on Herbert.
