I see an important difference between a show       about space exploration which has some social messages and a show about       social messages which has some space exploration.              I liked the new captain. She didn't take the role too seriously, and IMO       that was the point. She wasn't career military, and she thought of       herself more as a school dean than as a military officer. I'm not       against change, you see. I thought a new style of captain was a good       idea.              Crying gay Klingons, though? They're not Klingons any more. That's not       so much a change as a complete gutting of the concept. There's an       important difference between updating an old property and adding a bunch       of crazy crap that doesn't make any sense.              --       The True Melissa - Canal Winchester - Ohio       United States of America - North America - Earth       Solar System - Milky Way - Local Group       Virgo Cluster - Laniakea Supercluster - Cosmos              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
