   The U.S. does have geopolitical and economic rivals, right? Even enemies,   
   some would say. But according to Maddow, Musk has a tight grip on   
   vital technology, so our leaders have to give him great leeway.   
      
   Is there a conflict for the U.S.? Can anything be done to induce Musk   
   to place the West ahead of the East in his empire? Speak, Shmoos.
