|    small speaker/amp recommendations sought    |

From: barss@basil.u.arizona.edu              We have reorganized the house, so the big TV, big amp (Onkyo       TX-SR706) and big speakers (B&W DM602 S3s) are either in the TV room, or       in storage (the speakers). I'm looking for a small amp, and small       speakers, for the living room (the previous home of the music and TV       stuff).              The sound source will be my Logitech Squeezebox, with analog outputs, so       the amp can be very simple, with just a pair of line-level analog inputs.              The speakers are the problem. I'm used to the fine quality and imaging of       the B&Ws, for music, and unfortunately they're too large. I've had       limited experience with satellite/subwoofer combos. So any recommendations       are appreciated. I was considering the Mirage Nanosats (plus a small       subwoofer), but have read varying opinions on their imaging.              Advice appreciated!              -- Andy Barss              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
