   Good! Now reduce R2 to 24R and remove R14/R13. And again, pull down the   
   output of LM358.   
      
   Volume control is still weird. Why not throw a 220K/22K divider to the   
   noninverting onput of the op-amp and feed AF through a 1uF cap from the   
   wiper of the conventionally grounded volume control pot? It is never a good   
   idea to use volume control as some kind of bias current path. Though input   
   current is very small, still there is more potential crackling when the pot   
   gets dirty. Besides as I mentioned, why feed 5V rail ripple into AF path at   
   zero volume?
