   Actually, Patrick,  I wrote the "nothing since the 70s" phrase.  Which suits   
   me fine as there is little 'high concept' to follow,  but much to learn, and   
   much to refine.  I see no reason why the manufacturing advances in passive   
   components might not be    
   exploited for both solid and hollow state devices. Funny that you should want   
   a PNP tube, given that the earliest transistors were PNP devices, only with   
   the advent of Silicon were NPN devices easy to make (relatively, that is).   
      
   Take care down under.  We are in the 60s F today.  Not a good thing for   
   December 10th.
