   If none of you have diddled the Google header today, you should. Clara   
   Rockmore was a professional concert Theremin player of some note - which in   
   that incarnation was a tube device.    
      
   There are many more options today, both tube and solid-state, but the device   
   itself is a remarkable instrument and capable of great range and subtlety in   
   the right hands. I had the privilege of playing (with) an original Philco   
   Theremin at one time, I    
   wish I knew where it is today.
