I thought with the way the       internet has transformed, these groups were history.              The group has dulled right down since about 2008, maybe when GFC caused many       40-60yo guys to move down from middle class to some sort of lesser class where       maybe they felt they were dis-possessed, dis-enfranchised, ripped of,       marginalized, dis-empowered,        neutered, irrelevant, unwanted, forsaken, and a bit pissed off by many other       things. So trying to build the sound system they dreamed of in 1960s was not       possible, or they didn't feel like doing it, and survival comes first. I'd       reckon many of them want        to now vote for Trump, or Sanders, or whoever can offer a reversal of their       fortunes. But as soon as either of these guys get power, the un-elected lobby       guys in suits will gather round, and they tell him "Mr President, here's the       list of promises you        MUST break, and here's the shit-sandwich policies you are going to pursue for       the people, you got that, OK..."              But Unkle Time is The Merciless One, and Aunty Destinee don't give a fuck.       Everyone likes to buy Chinese underpants because it costs too much to make       them in the USA - Globalisation! Since 2005, many alternative groups started       where I found very little        of anything to discuss, and postings were moderated, criticism banned, and not       my scene.       Keep well, but its difficult. At least try to NOT go insane, you become a big       nuisance :-),       Patrick Turner               --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
