If I am approaching onramp and vehicle is ahead of me in said onramp       but is slowing down for whatever reason(scared, not sure if they should go for       it, or mirrors hindering view due to non-BGE config) I will let off the gas       and flick highbeams for        them to accelerate and proceed - if they "get" my cue. If I am alongside onramp and vehicle in onramp is abaft of me(in my       3-4 o'clock position - to my right and slightly behind), I will accelerate to       get out of their way if they are moving slower than me.        > #3b. If they are abaft of me and matching OR exceeding my speed, I will let       off gas or lightly brake to let them in.              I prefer that people NOT try to help. I am busy watching mirrors, ahead,       traffic etc and by the time I realize you have altered speed it screws up       everything. Last time someone did it, by the time the "after you alphonse"       dance was over I was a        complete stop at the end of the acceleration lane.              As for fliking your lights, there isn't one person out there in a thousand       that would have a clue about what you are doing.              Harry K              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
