   So you choose to leave your safety in the hands of someone else who   
   MUST be making a speed adjustment.

   "Pretty much any driver" will also not suddenly change lanes when   
   you're right beside them...   
      
   ...but that doesn't make being right beside another car in another lane   
   something you don't need to avoid when possible.
